New announcement: Leica X2

For the sheer joy of photography.

Leica have today announced the latest new addition to the X-line of compact digital cameras - the Leica X2, an updated version of the Leica X1. The X2 has a larger sensor than the X1, boasting a high resolution of more than 16 megapixels. Leica have also improved the X2's autofocus system, enabling fast, precise and virtually silent focusing.

The true greatness of the Leica X2 lies in its outstanding image quality. For its compact size, the camera features a large, APS-C CMOS image sensor with a resolution of more than 16 megapixels. In combination with its high-performance Leica Elmarit 24 mm f/2.8 ASPH lens, this promises exposures with extremely low image noise, a high dynamic range and accurate colour differentiation.
