The HERO features high-quality 1080p30 and 720p60 video for an unbelievable price of just £99! In this simplified model, GoPro have included user friendly modes such as QuikCapture and Burst Photo, enabling the user to start recording at a click of a button and capture sequences at up to 5 frames per second. The HERO also benefits from been small in size and extremely light, weighing in at just 3.9 ounces making it a great camera to mount onto your gear or just slip into your pocket. The HERO also features SuperView, a GoPro-exclusive video mode that captures the world’s most immersive wide-angle perspective.
As expected, the headline model - the HERO 4 Black has 4K video capabilities and is being celebrated as the most advanced GoPro ever. The HERO 4 Black boasts a new double power processor with 2x faster video frame rates along with the capability of going underwater to a depth of 40 meters and 12MP Photo capture at a speedy 30 frames per second. The HERO 4 Black also features a great new night capture mode, making creation of night images and time-lapse just a click of a button away. The HERO 4 Black also has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing you to connect to the GoPro App and Smart Remote to help maximise your creativity. The GoPro App enables live view via your phone or tablet, presenting full control of all functions and settings, easy shot preview and playback, plus sharing via text message, e-mail and social media. Another new feature is GoPro’s 'HiLight' Tag, which gives you the option to mark your best moments via the updated button layout, making the best shots easier to find at the editing or sharing stage.
Like its big brother, The HERO4 Silver also features a GoPro first - an integrated touch display. The idea is to preview photos and videos to frame your perfect shot, play back content and easily navigate between camera menus and adjust settings. Whilst the HERO4 Silver cannot offer 4K video capture it gives the user 1080p 60 and 720p 120 cinema-quality capture with lifelike clarity, plus 12MP photos at a staggering 30 frames per second. Like its big brother the HERO4 Silver also has the new Night Photo and Lapse feature, something that GoPro’s huge customer base has been crying out for. Overall the HERO4 Silver has many of the same features of the Black, minus the 4K video capabilities. Its new easy-use touch screen makes viewing and sharing content even easier than before, along with brining the GoPro product further in-line with today’s ever growing mobile and tablet market.
