Nikon developing new firmware update to improve video recording capabilities on D750, D810 and D4s.

Today we have learnt that Nikon is currently in the process of developing a new firmware update for the D750, D810 and D4s due to released at some point in the Summer 2015. The new firmware upgrade will provide support for timecode and recording command functions with HDMI output to external recorders.

With the new firmware update, communication can be established between the cameras and external recording devices. Video recorders will be able to recognise the cameras’ own operations, enabling the start/stop recording commands to become synchronised and automated. Meanwhile, new support for timecode imprinting will improve editing capabilities, as sound and video can be aligned, to create a smoother editing process.

This update shows that Nikon are trying to provide even greater support for its video recording functions that many professional photographers, videographers, video creators and advanced amateurs are after.

Once the firmware update is announced, we will let you know, so keep a note of our blog address, or follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Google+ for all the latest news.
